The Call to Action

It is in capitalism's interests that social movements never really do anything. It is on their priority list that we don't even notice that we are oppressed, and most people don't. Most people never realize they are being oppressed according to a system. But some few people notice it, name it and try to find community. What now?

These communities may gather in person, but most don't, not nowadays. So we communicate via the Internet most of the time. What parts of our activism are being held captive by constant surveillance?

Changing subjects for a sec, I've always been very critical of feminism. Not in a reactionary way, but more in a "this is kinda racist idk" way. I've never fully identified with feminism because it always sounded too simplistic, too white, too whiny, and not enough action-centered.

Much of my icks toward feminism are connected to victim blaming in some way. That's something I've been wanting to change, and although I've made progress, I think there's some truth to my ick.

There is an increasing amount of people who get into online leftist spaces and are not being offered solutions. They are being offered a black pill. 

A black pill is essentially being a doomer, which is being a bummer, which is being a loser.

People are getting to these spaces and being eternally tormented by the newest discourse. Some of that discourse is very important, and some of it is stupid. The point is that you're eternally entertained (or doomed) into submission. Most people don't even know there's a step beyond recognizing their own oppression. I bet Twitter users would even say the next step is reading theory. The point is that- there is a reason why no one seems to define praxis.

Praxis is illegal stuff. Or very uncomfy stuff.

It's a little hard to tell your youtube subscribers to destroy ICE physically. Especially when talking about feminism will demonetize your ass already.

So the solution they found was to go as far as they could and never really define praxis. Never really say what we're supposed to do. And considering many of them get their money off of teaching people stuff, they kinda just fuel the doom-state leftists are already in with more discourse, more theory, more concepts, and more scandals.
